U.P Looking for a Front End Coder

We have an opening for a part time volunteer position for a front end coder to help expand our online platform for the Year 2 launch. We’ll need someone with an eye for design detail (who will pay attention to the difference between a 10 and 20 pixel margin). You’ll be working with our software developer, Blue, on an application using templates that separate design concerns from client and server side functionality. You will be creating stylesheets and markup from mockups provided by the creative team. You must be able to work remotely, and be available to meet once a week (time is flexible) with Blue and other members of the team as needed. This is a great opportunity to get involved in an exciting startup with the potential to develop into a paid position.
Location: remotely
Salary: volunteer position with potential to turn into paying gig
Hours: 10/week (flexible)
Proficiencies sought:
* CSS
* HTML
* Image and graphics editing and optimization
Nice to haves, but not required:
* WordPress development (PHP)
* RSS/Atom
* Javascript
* MySQL
* Java
* GWT (Google Web Toolkit)
* Revision control software (CVS, SVN, etc)
We’re looking to fill this role ASAP so please send your resume and portfolio to hello@theuniformproject.com
