Sunday trip to the Country
Tyson and I decided to grab our dogs and go for a drive, now that we have a car we’re trying to learn more about the rural regions of Quebec (we’ve lived in Mtl for about 7yrs now). Today I wore the dress as a skirt again, however I folded over the bodice & tied it at the back to create a high waisted effect. It’s chilly & my hair is a mess so I threw on a knit hat I got awhile ago on Etsy. I bought it with an old Etsy account that I no longer use and sadly can’t remember the sellers name. Note to indie designers: Put labels on your designs! I layered a vintage jersey skirt over the dress, threw on a vintage cropped 80s blazer with cut out details at the arm and a white tank. A vintage belt & a necklace bought for my by my sister in law Kirsten are the last bits. Oh and polka dot socks (again with the dots!) & navy Minnetonka mocassins I picked up in Brooklyn last spring…shopping with Tara from U.P actually!

At the risk of sounding like teenager, you are so totally cool. Your style exudes individuality and character. Travelling to the countryside in that look is PERFECT! In the 2nd pic it looks like you’re wearing an cutesy apron – but you could actually wear a kitchen towel and make it look stylish.

Liz – I folded the bodice as flat as I could before wrapping it to reduce the bulk, it laid quite flat, and the belt helped to keep everything in order…
Holly – the necklace is resin, but it does have the look of woodgrain…or some kind of caramel candy!
laks – It was a gift from my sister in law, not sure where she got it!
