Trouser Time
When I’m not wearing the same dress every day I can often be found wearing trousers. I’ve been trying to sort out an outfit that combines trousers with the dress, and was not having much luck. Today I finally put something together that I’m happy with…I should have known it would involve one of my favorite plaid shirts. I’ve had this shirt since grade 9 when I dug it out of a box in my grandmas basement. It was my Auntie Julies when she was around the same age, and I’ve hung on to it ever since and it’s remained a favorite for….16yrs!! I started out with the dress worn the same way as days 14 & 6, then folded the back portion up and under, then wrapped the excess around my body at the front. I’m wearing one of my elastic harnesses, which REALLY helps hold everything together…I’m not sure this same look would be possible with just a belt. The trousers are vintage high waisted brown microsuede, and I’m wearing one of my new wooly fringe necklaces as well.
