Back In The NY Groove
Well, I’m back at home. I’m actually kind of bummed about it, not that I don’t love New York (I do) but… you know, it’s back to the same old same old. Same old tiny apartment. Same old unemployment. Now that I’ve tasted the fruit of California I think I’m gonna hustle ass to get back there. The good news is that I get to see all my best friends again AND I have a whole new-old closet to experiment with. I had been thinking about this vintage coral dress in LA and really wanted to wear it with my uniform. This is my going-out outfit for later. The dress is so old that if I sneeze it will disintegrate. Also, I feel more comfortable wearing heels in NYC, which is weird because all I do is walk everywhere. I’m gonna ease into the heel wearing though. Sometimes my high heel eyes are bigger than my stomach. You know what I mean.

Now this rocks! I’ve been waiting for a look like this. The style of the dress, the color, and the shoes are a fabulous combo. I would wear this is a heartbeat!

I think it’s great that you’re trying different things, and even when they don’t work out so great sometimes, not saying that this doesn’t work, it’s still interesting! I’m looking forward to see how this month progresses, keep going!!

Wow that’s hot! I agree with a lot of different comments today! 1. TOTALLY understand the high heels eyes theory. I’m a victim! 2. This looks so spanish. Like you could just break into a dance! and lastly, 3. The books in your apartment really tell a good story!

Can’t help but notice the dollars haven’t gone up. Why don’t you tell us more about the Phoenix House?

Love the colors and the different textures. I wish you had a rose to put in your hair.

@Payal… are you telling me that your eagle eyes can make out the book titles in her library???
Lesley, love that you’re branching out a bit more. Bolder choice. Keep it up! Inspire us! 🙂

I like how you completely changed the shape of the uniform by adding a second dress underneath. Sometimes I tend to forget the power of layering! Your look is very accessible and modern, the type of thing I could see myself wear.

I wish I had spidey senses like that! There’s something so romantic about that many books crammed together above a kitchen bench top. That kinda story 🙂

Not mad about the dress or the color, but I just love how you can channel a whole vibe in each of your outfits, from the way you place your hands to your head movement, to the way you look at the lens – amazing!!!

We may have to arm wrestle for those boots! Really digging the look today. I think you’re getting the hang of this. And shouldn’t it be Lezley with a ‘Z’?

Ignore my previous comment on this photo (posted in error, meant for Thursday’s outfit). Love vintage. The two dresses look like they were meant to go together. Lovely!
