Warming up in Williamsburg
It’s entirely too rainy-looking of a day here in New York for the weekend (though it’s becoming sunny!), which makes me wonder if I shouldn’t have tried to drag my sleepy body out last night to hang with friends. By the time 10PM came around, I just gave in to a sort of somnambulistic state and quickly fell down, down like Alice in Wonderland into the White Rabbit Hole of Sleep.
Weekends in Williamsburg are pretty fun, especially when the sun warms up people’s spirits. A whole tribe of Buffalo Exchange-wearing, tea-drinking, passerbys make their way through the streets, the Bedford boutiques, and cool little cafes like Fabiane’s and Blackbird.
I decided to Burg it up myself with my Little Black Dress. I pulled the last cord of the dress as taut as I could, turning it into a bubble dress. Then I folded it under over my hips to make a cute, short bubble dress effect. Paired that with an old Gary Graham vest; vintage Valentino coffee hat; Christian Siriano hand-pounded Ugandan bark cloth belt (sourced on Source4Style again!); Stockingirl.com tights; handmade Organic Leather bracelets; Lisa Linhardt carved horn ring; Touched Wood hand-carved ring; and Frye Boots.

Your month so far is like watching the LBD on a whole series of *wonderful* movie sets! Only better – because it is true life!

What a difference from yesterday’s look. It took me by surprise in a big way. Love the bubble look; the black & brown together.

I love your look today! Wish I had bumped into you on the (very crowded) streets in the burg today, neighbour!

I remember playing with this look when I was designing this LBD just a few weeks back and knew you would have fun wearing it. This is only day 5 and this dress can do so much more! And on Summer, well, she is just warming up! Love it on you, but Sandy and I knew we would. : )

your transformation from yesterday’s outfit is amazing…like you hopped in a time machine and came out years later! March pilot, you clearly have the previous girls beat (and they were GOOD!). Keep it up!
