Hey Isis, don’t get down. You’re doing great. Although some of your shown clothes are not my taste, it doesn’t matter. What matters is your individuality, diversity and creativity you show with the dress day by day. Some of the commentators may not get the concept of this project and don’t display good manners.

That’s the internet ghetto. Don’t worry about it. The other pilots got lots of worse comments and didn’t deserve it either. Stay true to yourself and that’s all you need to do. 🙂

Regarding Soumaya’s comments- I’m all for constructive criticism but “overcomplacent butt” is downright inappropriate, considering this is a project about raising funds for laptops for kids living in difficult circumstances. I’d like to know how much Soumaya is donating (if anything) because his/her/it’s criticism is probably more appropriate when directed at himself/herself/itself. And thank you, Isis, from the bottom of my heart, for taking on this cause.

The other pilots have gotten way worse comments than you have, overall yours have been the most positive. But, no one likes to be lectured at, that’s not the way to get people to donate! Yeah, I totally agree that some people make this into a critique rather than remember what it’s all about. There’s NO WAY we’re all going to love or even like all the outfits, but it’s about seeing what you can create with what you have!! You go!

‘hating’ on someone’s style for a cause is petty, immature, childish, and overtly demonstrative of the insecurities plaguing the person behind the keyboard. why not try constructive criticism. “this isn’t to my taste, why not try… or swap out… for…” the more you pour your own negativity out into a venue as positive as this, the more of a jerk you look like. isis, don’t feed the trolls. just keep on’ doing what you’re doing because it’s your pilot afterall, not theirs.

Like many things, the internet seems to bring the best (you, Lesley, Sheena) or the worst (haters) in people. How many of you would have the courage to say this kind of stuff face to face? Really? But the internet being anonymous and faceless, that’s what you get… It’s sad, because most people come to this site to relax, and seeing all those rude comments makes the visit not as fun. Can’t people state their disgreement without being rude to each other?

you are so amazing. i love the creativity you’ve put into this project thus far. don’t worry about the Internet trolls — they’re everywhere and it only makes them happier to get attention. I think you’re doing a great job supporting a great cause. The end of the month is coming too soon!!

I’ve always thought this project was a bit schizophrenic. On the one hand, Sheena and her pilots are supposed to stop shopping unless it’s in a used store. They are supposed to look fabulous. And they are supposed to continue to live a normal life. Difficult to do all at once. It’s been fun to see how some real people do it, and I contributed to all the causes. But now all the site seems to do is attract potty mouths. I’m done.

You’ve got some great looks – all very wearable (which is the point of the whole thing!). You’ve even inspired me to do it with a dress I found that’s similar to yours. All of a sudden I’m wearing things that have been sitting in the wardrobe for ages – FANTASTIC! Has anyone noticed that the gold on today’s top is in the shape of Australia? lol. Love looking at your outfit combinations each day. Though I’m older than you and have a different style, your combinations and attitude are inspiring, AND I love what you’re doing, not only to encourage sustainable fashion in a culture of tremendous waste but also to help some kids get connected to the rest of the world and a world of learning.
