Pilot To Co Pilot, You Copy?
Hi everyone! My name is Lesley Arfin and today is day 1 of my Uniform Project challenge. U.P asked me a few months ago if I’d be willing to wear a dress everyday for a month in order to promote a charity of my own choosing. At first I didn’t think it was up my alley. I mean, who wants to wear the same dress everyday? When I looked into what it was all about, I saw that Sheena, the first pilot and awesome girl who started this whole thing, wore the same dress EVERYDAY FOR A YEAR (and looked super cute doing it) I thought well, this could be interesting…
I asked my dear friend Judi Rosen to make the dress. I love Judi’s stuff and have been wearing her clothes for years and years. Don’t you think it’s great? I also decided to raise money for a place called The Phoenix House. The Phoenix House is a treatment center for alcohol and substance abuse with locations all over the country (I chose my hometown of NYC). I wanted to go with them because they help a lot of younger people with substance abuse problems, and when I was a young’n I had some of these problems of my own. I wanted to give back. I’m hoping that you’ll help the Phoenix House out with me, and maybe seeing me wear this dress everyday for a good cause will inspire you to donate something to them.
Anyway, here’s the dress and here’s me. I’m interested to see what happens this month, and I hope you will be too.

Happy first day Lesley! I love your dress, so great job Judi. It looks like you’ve got a lot of spunk (hence the wayfarers and orange heels), so I am quite ready and excited to see what you have in store for the month.

Great choice of a cause too. I work as a copywriter for a company that creates fundraising material for nonprofits and right now I’m writing an appeal for a local chemical addictions treatment center.

I LOVE your dress. and I LOVE your cause. My brother just recently got out of a rehab facility run by the Phoenix House down here in Texas. They were so supportive and he’s been doing great. I’ll definitely be donating during the month! good luck!
