Fun.

Leah

WoW, you are inspiring and stylish!

Britgirl tagged this Hot

The boots are so rocker-girl. The whole outfit is great. One of the best.

Sarroa tagged this Cute

Yes!

annie tagged this Cute

I have loved watching how the Laredo boots keep making an appearance...love the fringed top!

ammakke tagged this Cute

yes, real summer look!! welldone!

Lila tagged this Cute

Lovely!

Eleanor

The simplicity of the fringe and hat is striking. The boots are a bit "heavy" for this ensemble.

@marycray tagged this Batty

love the boots.

Cathryn tagged this Fab

Fab hat!

Beth tagged this Cool

Like the hat and fringe.

Late Bloomer

Cool!

ammakke tagged this smart

Kathlene tagged this camping chic

Are you going to a veggie patch lol? I think this would be a good outfit for camping

Jean tagged this Hot

You're on a ROLL! Just as with the last 2, I love this! Very festive and seasonal ... even with the boots! Great job.

Maria tagged this Fun

The straw/fruit hat, accented with the jersey fringed colar is very appropriate for summer. How would an accent color boot laces work? Just asking. . .

awer tagged this interesting

I think that it is really cool, though the hat seems to be a little bit grandma-ish the dress style, though, is very nice. It is clean, simple and easy to wear. the boots as well, are very practical

This one's right in the middle for me. Actually, I like it. Yeah. Keep it up! ^.^

Cynthia

Cute, but def. lose the hat!

Cat tagged this Cute

I'm not really digging the hat, but I still love the outfit!

X tagged this Cute

Cabbage-patch chic!!! ;)

Cheryl

Love the fringe! it just pops with the dress! keep it up. I work at an art gallery and we have a junior fashion designer class for kids 9-13. You have inspired the kids to think about sustainable fashion. The class will now be more than just about making beautiful clothes! I'll send you some pics of the kids if you' like!

Fourth Daughter tagged this Brave

how lucky were you to find a tanktop with a neckline so similar to the dress! Excellent 'accessorising'.. and is that even a bit of fringing on the boots?

Jo tagged this splendid

You are going to jump-start the millinery business all by your little self.

You look ready to garden!I personally don't like this that much, but it's fun. I think you can pull it off.

michael tagged this Try Harder

I find it sad that this project needs to be For a Cause, when it is little more than another example of an unhealthy obession with one's own image, and its trite and rather exhausting need to be Shared. Look, no longer do you need an excuse to be a narcissist, but you must admit that narcissism, and what you call 'sustainable' (i.e. another obsession with ebay) fashion has little positive effect towards 'revolutionizing education' (what does that phrase mean?) in India, other than a sum you can blindly forward towards slum children and prevent any guilt for you or anyone who enjoys this page. You put that sum at the top of the page to divert (albeit only temporarily) what this project really is about: self-expression and self-promotion. By all means, be inventive and try to suggest an 'essential' look, but this isn't going to save the children in the way they need saving. Yes, it's a cute pose.

ana tagged this Try Harder

thank you for your notes Michael. Also this project is talking about buying more and more merchandising.

@ Michael: Sheena is not a narcissist. I have known her for nearly two decades, or perhaps more. You, on the other hand, are overcritical, pessimistic, and jaded. When you have a chance in life, go take a trip to some of these community schools in what folks like you call the third world and you will see what people with big hearts like Sheena are capable of doing.

Mrs.J. tagged this Brave

Well, Thanks Michael for your comment.I know Sheena personally & Assure you she is a small lady with a big heart! I admire what she is doing & wish her all the luck in the world, no mateer what others think or say.

miss luli tagged this Hatastic!

michael mate - its a simple excercise to get people talking and thinking and maybe even doing something personal to make a change. If that includes a donation, or a trip to an opshop. So be it. Here in the UK a very rich, very successful self publicist Mary Portas made a programme inviting people to shop neutral. Buying something new? Send something of value to the charity shop... No it won't change the world - but it makes a small personal difference. It's a start. This isn't the forum to point jabby fingers and get huffy about how little we do. Don't be silly and don't be so mean. Understand the spirit - and if you can't then perhaps you might consider that exploiting someone else's creativity and open hearted gesture to make a jaded sociopolitical point - could also be considered narcissistic and cynical. Peace out...

Ruth

Not crazy about the fringe, but cute hat!

the knotty hooker tagged this ultra cute

i LOVE that hat!!!! someone should be making more of them!!!

Lucia tagged this Cute

Bello, dulce, calido..un equipo muy original!

Laura Daly tagged this Brave

Thank you, miss luli, for your thoughts. Michael, you will see that this fund raising effort will be very successful as it is gaining attention due to the very nature of the form it has taken. Who knows what other ideas are in the works by Sheena to raise more money? This idea works because it makes people want to visit everyday - giving Sheena an opportunity to remind people every day to do something about this situation in India.

Love the Hat tagged this Brave

want that hat

barbara tagged this Inspirational

There are many web sites out there where someone is making an effort to put out wonderful ideas, be creative, inspirational, and motivating through self-expression. But very few of them add an element of fundraising for the less fortunate. So let's all support Sheena's huge committment since so many of us REALLY LOVE THIS WEBSITE, in spite of the Michaels of the world. Peace to all. ~ barbara

dahlia tagged this loving it

the michael comment: what makes this form of self-expression any more or less narcissisistic than any other work of artistic creation anyway? Lighten up and donate. outfit is perfect - love the red and teal - artistically pleasing color combo; love the hat and fringe collar. Perfectly balanced look.

Britwatch tagged this chilled out!

What better indictment of these spurious charges of narcisissm than that the artist has not had to type a single syllable in retort! Delighted to see how the Uniformproject's many admirers have leapt to its defence. And how ironic that the very comments that alleged this project lacks depth have stimulated such a profusion of viewpoints in support. To misquote, "they also serve who spam n bait"

Eleanor

Sheena, please please ignore Michael's comments. I was already planning to write to you and scrolled to see what others thought of this outfit and I saw his comments. I LOVE that you use eBay purchases. I am consistently one of the most "stylish/eclectic" women in my office of 150 people, and 95% of my wardrobe comes from eBay or Goodwill. Why buy new retail when there is perfectly good 'gently used" clothing out there already. I see you promoting "upcycling", not consumerism. And your vintage clothing? I am in total envy! Your layering is mentoring me to look at my wardrobe in an entirely new light; I already mix and match, but you are giving me all kinds of fresh ideas. Kudos to you, my dear! Viewing your daily outfits it a treat I look forward to daily!

wow ! beautifull shoes!!!!

Unfortunately,"Michaels" & "Anas" of our world not only fail to do something better or may be even a lot worse than what sheena does for a very worty cause, they try to hamper it.Both illiterates & very litterates are benefitting hugely from her project. Michael should learn the meaning of narcissm in depth before he applies to people.I fear, even the best Psychologist would take time to analyse your personality type and label with a suitable type "which" I don't like to predict. Please let people to do some good work while carrying on with their regular, fulltime busy jobs. Keep it up sheena...well done...well done...very...very welldone Jolly M

How interesting that a great vintage fruit hat would create so much debate. For some reason I think grunge. Maybe the boots? Unexpected. Cute.
