Day 195. Wed, November 11 2009

In respect to Jerry Fuchs and his loved ones, we are suspending our daily photos at this time. While our 365 day mission and the fundraising for Akanksha will continue, we are taking this time to consider how to proceed in light of this tragic event. Your support is truly appreciated and our thoughts remain with his family and friends.

This afternoon I was ditched by a 68-year-old man with a hot date. It made me feel really hopeful, because this man lost his wife not too long ago and it was the first time I've seen him so optimistic. We all know that life is short and precious. There are good people in this world, and you are one of them. Your project is worthy and you are an inspiration. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope we see you back here soon.

Take all the time you need. Your fans and supporters of kiddo education will still be here when you're ready to return!

Sheena, I am sorry this tragedy has shadowed what was a worthwhile project gaining much ground. I agree with others that, after a respectable time period, Jerry would want you to go on working toward your goals for Akanksha. My thoughts are also with everyone involved!

Yes, take all the time you need. I love your site, and your site's purpose. I will keep checking and won't forget about you. RIP to your friend and an awesome drummer.

so sad

A British fan

Sheena, I follow your project every day and am in total awe of what you have done and have achieved. Even in this sad time you have managed to do something positive. By putting up links from others websites, everyone has had a chance to see what a brilliant person Jerry Fuchs seems to have been and to find out a bit more about his life. I'm in the UK, and wanted you to know that your good work has repercussions around the world in more ways than you may know. Thank you.

Sending waves of support from London. As the others say, take as much time as you need and we'll be waiting for you. This is a wonderful project for a wonderful cause. Take care (and do make sure you are looking after yourself).
